Election Reform Network Joins Federal Law Suit to Expand Use of Emergency Ballots
The Election Reform Network, in conjunction with the NAACP State Conference, filed suit Thursday, 12 days before the November 4 election, to require that Pennsylvania expand the use of emergency paper ballots to combat long lines on election day.
The complaint states it seeks to head off a "perfect storm" of likely unprecedented voter turnout and a history of electronic voting machine failures across the state that "unquestionably will result in the disenfranchisement of substantial numbers of citizens."
